I'd noticed an apron-fest starting as well. Love your no.6. Although I have a few of this style, I still find need to wear an apron which covers my top part because I can never seem to stay as clean as Doris Day. Also, you might want to look at the new issue of selvedge magazine (great textiles) which has a whole article about aprons & some lovely pics.

Oh, I love #12, but they're all just wonderful!! I started photographing my own aprons yesterday after seeing Mama Unraveled 2's, and now here you are too! I love it!

Grammie

Aprons! Love your collection and thank you for the link to Mama Unraveled 2.

Don't scream..but I went thru the local antique mall last month and got all the vintage aprons I could find. I was going to cut them up...now I am not so sure :@
Love yours!

Stephanie

Amy, thanks for the link. Wow, those are all lovely, but I think that #7 is my favorite. And the apron pants!...I'd like to see those on.

#11!!!!!! Oh my God, it makes me want to put on roller skates and serve burgers and french fries. I just love them all. For someone who isn't great at sewing, this would be a fun project to try. Talk about a fun way to wear fabric! Aprons always make me think of my Grandma Hannah - I really don't think I ever saw her without one on... but hers had more fabric with cap sleeves - kind of like a hospital gown, but much prettier.

Love them all! I remember I used to find these all the time when I was out thrifting, but they don't seem to show up very often any more... I guess they're either sitting in collections, or getting much more desirable!

Oh, I just love #7 & #12!!! And Sadie's is adorable too! I found two vintage kids aprons at Goodwill last year.

erinay

those are all fab... but those pants-apron! how much do i adore those? it's like cooking armor. if you had the full bib-apron and the pants... too precious and what a statement to make...it's like saying "look out! I am cooking here!"

Can you imagine arriving at a barbeque and your host is wearing all that.... I would laugh and whip out my camera so I could laugh again later when I looked at the picture.

ok, I want to see those on someone!

myra

Eek! That is an awesome collection! Do you ever use any of them?

Jill
