cupcakes and dresses.
I just got the new Good Things for Kids from Martha. I have all the old MSL Kids magazines, under lock and key, so I really like it when they do these best of issues because I really use them--I get all weird about the actual magazines and don't like to leave them out.
This lollipop cupcake (image from the website) kills me. The recipe is on the site. So much is on the MSL site! I could spend days there. We are already thinking about Sadie's big 5th b-day in the fall, so the timing of this party themed issue couldn't be better. And here's a plea to bring back the actual Kids magazine, please!!
And thinking about Fall clothes, the new Miniboden came to the house last week and I want this outfit. For me. Oh, I mean for Sadie. But I need to get her out of the pjs and the life vest first. There are great sewing ideas in here, I always save the catalog for that reason. I actually have never ordered from them before, but the clothes seem well made-are they? Anyone know?

I love Boden. I signed up for their catalog after reading a post about them by Alicia P. It's expensive for my starving artist budget, but I buy one piece of clothing a year from there and always get compliments on it. Very well made - thumbs up for Boden in my opinion :)

i go through the miniboden catalog and dog ear everything i like. then I realize that almost every page is bent. i've never ordered from them before. we have one mb thrifted tee. and so far it's made it through two girls and is still wearable for the next girl. i'd say that's a good sign.
can we start a petition for ms kids or something? seriously.

I love boden for me and the kids. The clothes aren't too pricey and they are well made, but you can make them easily. I was just eyeing some things today in there.

boden is very popular here in the uk too. i live not too far away from their distribution warehouse, if you can't wait for it to be delivered you can actually arrange to collect your order!. i think my first order with boden was about 4 years ago now, and the top still looks like new today. there is always a huge amount of excitement when their sale starts online and, i don't know if you get these in the US but occasionally, boden hire out places and hold 'jumble sales' of all their old stock, selling really cheap.

I have bought several things from the boden catalog, they are all well made. I always get the mini-boden also because I want some of those outfits for myself!

Well, I'm a bit late on this post, but I'm new to your blog and trying to catch up a bit! I have ordered from boden, but only on sale so far-- but their clothes last excellently. As I usually order big for my kids I know their stuff lasts. My daughter's favorite dress is still a miniboden from 2 years ago- still looks great. When nothing is on sale in the right size I also tear out pages for inspiration! I've got one for myself by my sewing machine now of a wrap sweater, and just made my daughter a circle skirt with contrasting waistband, pockets, and hem-binding tape that is a direct inspiration from last spring's mini boden.
