How precious is that? I love the photo Amy - so gorgeous.

I love the skywriting--what a great thing to do; the pilot must have been having a really great day!

Oh, the sweet tiny little foot--how adorable!

Sweet little baby foot. I love my children's feet. You just have to kiss them!

what is it exactly about baby toes that are so amazing? how adorable, i could just kiss them all day long! (ok- that sounds weird, but i think you all know what i mean?)

Oh I love the tiny little toes! Mine is two and I still love her feet and toes.... just so kissable!

Eeek! That teeny foot is so cute I can't stand it!

the best thing is that the skywriting was done by a woman pilot (one of the few skywriters around anymore - [male or female] and it was advertising a new ice cream shop that's opening near Jamison Square. (that's ice cream not precious gelato!) yay!

So great. I just love that small foot. Lucky you!!!!

Both "cool," in my opinion. :-)

Love that tiny little foot. I want one of those again. Sigh.

I want a tiny foot.

Oh, those little toes are so nibble-worthy! :-)

sweet baby foot... makes me want to nibble on it :)

what a neat photo. I love the pic of the baby foot too. I'm so amazed when I look at my tiny 3 month old little boy. I can't believe that my body made him. He is so perfect but then again all mothers think that.

Awwww... how precious! What tiny little feet! Have a marvelous weekend!

oh, i love that little foot! oh my goodness.

awwww, that sweet little foot - baby feet are just my favorite!

both the photos are gorgeous!

I love baby feet!

Oh my gosh, Amy, I'm dying over here. That baby foot photo is the best!

Lydia's toes! Reminds me to get started on her "big" quilt. Think I should try to work COOL in there somehow.

Oh, there is nothing like those tiny feet, I would love another one(two actually) of those but then I would have to be pregnant--never mind!

Widdle toes! Yum.

On vacation I found the cutest tie die t-shirt at a Goodwill in New Hampshire...brand new tags still on, it says:

Peace, Love and Wigglie Toes!

Tiny toes ...too sweet!

I just got your book in the mail yesterday! I cant wait to make something!

Wonderful pictures! I just bought your beautiful book yesterday and cannot wait to make something. When I do, I will let you know! Happy Weekend! Becky

What's the story behind that? How strange… pretty cool though. Glad you got a photo!

Oh my gosh, look at that little foot! So sweet.

How cute is that baby foot!!!!!! OH gracious!

Pretty "cool" writing in the sky too...what's up with that?

sigh....

Can I please post your skywriting picture on my blog? I love it! I'll credit you for it.... I don't want to post it unless you tell me it's OK. Thanks....

Tiny feet are the sweetest thing ever! Love the skywriting -- I bet lots of people enjoyed that.

I haven't seen a skywriter in forever! I also haven't seen cute little babyfeet in forever either! It's double fun here!! (and I just used a lot of exclamation marks!!!)

Cooooool indeed! That foot looks like it was born yesterday. How adorable. I remember holding such a tiny foot. It's now attached to a very willful 2 yr old boy.

What an adorable teeny wee foot and the sky writing really is what it says it is - COOL!

By the way, I was bought your book for my birthday - not made anything yet but it looks fab and I can't wait to start a project.

What a beautiful foot! Teeny tiny perfection. And edible.
Don't forget edible.

wasn't that sky writing just the funniest thing... few things take me back to the age of 7, but sky writing is one of them (camp songs and wearing bandanas around the neck with the triangle in front are a few others, but that is beside the point). I am glad to hear it was an ad for something... I couldn't figure out why someone would choose to sky write "cool moon" for the heck of it. was it just for practice? Then i began to daydream that doing the o's was a lot of fun or they would have chosen to write "cool beans" or "cool runnings" in honor of the movie. We spotted it at the end of a long bike ride, so I was sure that i was hallucianting. I mean, really, who hires a sky writer to advertise? someone very cool, indeed.

From where I live, it looked like NOOW 700 (I couldn't see the backwards C at first, because of a tree) and I was having one heck of a time trying to figure out what it said. Then we realized it was upside down.

I saw someone (probably the same pilot) skywriting to advertise the air show on Friday afternoon around 5 too. I hope this is a new trend!

So cute!
:D

My kids yelled for every letter. Then of course they wanted ICE CREAM! It was a great evening.

I had to laugh when I saw this post last night as I was putting together my own post with the "Moon" part. We were sitting outside Thai Pod, after dinner, watching the sky...then went out for gelato. Seems as if we couldn't have been too far away from you, or I wonder if it was sky written in several places around Portland or no? At first I thought what a great so-city-like thing to get to see on the one night we were in the city, but then realized that it's exciting for everyone there, too, not just us from out in the sticks.
Pretty cool that, I see from an above comment, it was a woman pilot. We were down there on the ground and we kept saying "I wonder what he's going to write next?" and then started speculating as to whether it was actually a he or a she.
Sweet little toes!

old-fashioned sky-writing -- it's magic!

have you seen the dot-matrix kind of sky-writing? (done by several planes at the same time, looks like the output of an old dot-matrix printer) --although it has a huge cool factor, it's also a little scary.
