early shopping. . .

Gingerbreada280

I was cruising Mahar Drygoods yesterday and these are my favorites. This felt gingerbread house it pure genius! So simple and so fun.

Sgreena280

And these elf slippers. . .

Mooseb280

We special ordered this moose last year for the girls and they loved it and still do--wonderful craftsmanship.

Yetistanda280

And the shadow puppets!!(We got these too) . . . .just awesome. Nothing is cooler then a Yeti.

Robert's shop is just perfect for the handmade pledge. And he has a top 100 fave books list at Powell's, too, I just found this the other day and has great ideas.

I *love* that gingerbread house! I was thinking of making one (from scratch) but there is no way I have time to cut all those pieces! What a great Advent activity!!!

I jsut had the biggest childhood flashbacks looking at the book list, I LOOOOVED the boxcar series.

that gingerbread house is amazing!

and Robert's suggestion of Mr. Popper's Penguins is excellent. We borrowed the book on tape version for a road trip and it was a great listen for the whole family.

I am not a fan of Mahar Dry Goods since both times I tried to order something from there, my credit card was charged but the items never shipped. And then it took two weeks of solid phone calls and emails to track down my order, cancel it, and have my money refunded, not to mention that my godson's birthday and Easter presents were late since I had to scramble to find a replacement.

Seeing the felt projects reminded me to ask: now that The Twining Thread is gone, what is a good place to get wool felt?

OMG!! The Banner!! It's so good I want to eat it!

I just ordered the gingerbread house and I saw so many cute food items that I want to try making for my little one! Thanks for the link!

Ha. We just ordered those shadow puppets last week, and I also admired the other things on that list! Another think I bet you'll be crazy about:

I have the Yeti! He is hiding in the shadows waiting for the light

So cute, I really need shadow puppets! I am really starting to get in the shopping mood!

super-dee-duper links - thanks so much!!

I saw those slippers the other day. Loooove them. Oh no Alexandrialeigh! That makes me not want to place an order. Anyone else have experience with the company?

It really is one of the best shops for the handmade pledge! I love the moose!

so cute stuff! I like the elf slippers the best!
:)

Ooh, Amy - banner love!

Best,
Claudia

The shadow puppets are wonderful. I suspect that hubby and I might get more kicks out of them at this point (and maybe into the future -- we're easily amused).

I got BTRS today. I can't wait to start making things!

oh my! What cute things! I especially love those little elf shoes...too adorable!

I just received a couple of these shadow puppets (ordered them on etsy) and they are fabulous. We bought the dinosaurs. Very cool!
