next up. . .
On deck is this incredibly cute pattern from oliver + s. (Congrats Leisl!!) These sewing patterns come with a paper doll and the outfit shown on the pattern. Seriously! So flippin' clever and cute. Check out all the sweet patterns and the blog and flickr group, too.
The shorts I have planned in a brown linen, much like the pattern shows, and for the blouse I have my eye on this lovely Liberty fabric over at Purl. Sigh. So very good.

I love her new patterns. I have plans to make the backpack. You can never go wrong with a Liberty print. Can't wait to see it finished!

Oh, it would be GREAT in a Liberty fabric! I made the Bubble Dress, early on, in one of their prints and may not be able to part with the sample, it's so beautiful. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

Very cute and love that Liberty print. My Liberty print blouse (shirt) that my mother made me when I was a little girl is still going strong, not on me of course but one day on my daughter. My mum recently picked up a ladies Liberty print dress with loads of fabric in it (think lots of gathering) for $3.00 at a thrift store! Well done, thrifty mum! Lots of thngs will be made out of that!

Oh, I love Liberty prints! The color on that one is just lovely. I have such a soft spot for that aqua blue color.

Oh my goodness, I do so love paperdolls, nevermind the pattern (giggle.) I played with mine for endless hours back in the 50's--yes, I know how old I am. My daughters never seemed much interested in them, so I collect them for myself these days. I love to just drool over the uncut ones in my collection. I 'specially love the ones that look like they were drawn back in the 50's.
Would love to see the new clothes when you make them!

Her marketing is so lovely! I think that top will just be wonderful in the Liberty print. It seems very fitting. Can't wait to see it made up!

I can't decide which oliver + s pattern I like the best!
Looking forward to your liberty project.

Lovely print you've chosen. I think those Oliver and S patterns are so cute - I particularly like the collar on this little smock top - so sweet!

I love the Purl site, too, but feel compelled to tell you that Liberty fabric is only $28 per yard at intfab.com (of course, "only" is relative here!)

I loved paper dolls as a kid, what a smart way to illustrate a pattern. As for Liberty fabric, I LOVE it. I haven't splurged out on some yet, but it is one the list. Lastly, your book is wonderful, I've made two baby quilts out of it that will get lots of love.

That fabric soooo reminds me of a lovely vintage dress I used to have. It was one of those button up the front fitted like a blouse at the top, but full skirt at the bottom, June Cleaver sort of dresses. I bought it from a vintage store when I was in college and wore it until the fabric literally started to rip apart from age and wear. It was always a fun, happy dress because of the cheerful fabric.
Too bad Liberty isn't a little more affordable for me!

I just ordered the tea party sundress pattern, but have my eye on the puppet show tunic. So, so cute. Frankly, I was afraid of the three scissor rating though... As for the Liberty fabric, it is lovely and would make a perfect little tunic. Can't wait to see the finished product!

I've got my eye on that pattern for a soon-to-do project as well. I really want to make one of the little dresses too. Now if I could convince my daughter to wear something other than pajamas that would be good...

One of their other patterns was reviewed on Sew Mama Sew this week. http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=435 They are just too cute. I wish I had more time to sew for my little girl. Can't wait to see your creation.

I ordered one of the patterns. Now I am just waiting to get downtown to Purl to pick out some fabric. They are such sweet patterns.

That's my favorite pattern of Liesl's too. Will you trim the shorts in the floral? That's what I was thinkin'.

Those patterns are so cute. I just wish I had a girl to dress (or for some more boy patterns to sew).

I'm psyched about my new Oliver + S pattern, too. (I got the tea party dress which includes a boy-friendly play suit.) Your idea about the brown linen shorts and the Liberty top is fantatic!
