Key Lime Bars. From this book.

The tart key lime was the perfect taste on the only sunny day we have had recently, about 10 days ago. These bars were also amazing because the whipped cream was barely sweetened. Really, they were so easy it was almost criminal. The only thing stopping me from making them more often is juicing 20 key limes.

-I have watched the first 3 episodes of Slings and Arrows and love it so much. I am so happy to have a new show to get into.

-This new header is inspired by my new favorite kids book, Sparkle and Spin: A Book About Words. Amazing.

Oh yum! I love key lime. I really need to make one, however the bar idea seems nice.

May I ask did you make the plate? If so can I ask what you used? I love the fancy pattern with the spray paint effect. And I need new "nice" dishes but don't want boring china.

Yummmmm...I had to stop myself from licking the screen. I've got to get this book!

That book is going to be the reason I wont wear a swimsuit this year! I love it too lol.

I hated juicing key limes until I started using pliers. Game On, Limes.

Hi! First off the key lime bars look so good! Also, I work for the company that put out Slings & Arrows on DVD! I'm so glad you are enjoying it. I'm actually the one that came up with the sound bytes on the menus and the chapter names. It's so weird for me to see my blogs and work mixed.

I LOVE Slings & Arrows! You are in for such a treat! Enjoy. . .

I swore off juicing key limes last year after a killer key lime pie, but this might make me go back! Looks tasty! I might have to try the pliers, though...

wow, those bars do look yummy, and they sound dangerous if they were that easy to make. Hmm

Wow - I go out of town for a few weeks and your blog is filled with fun! I've ordered the book you recommended and I'm seriously thinking of making some of those tops for myself - right after I make the key lime bars! Thanks!

Cute header!

I've had that book on my wishlist since I first saw it. That and Sticky, Chewy, Messy, Gooey...

They look sooooooo good!

Love the new header! I'm a key lime addict and will never forget the first time I tried one...I was ten and it totally blew me away...the scent more than anything. I like them in pies, seltzer water, shortbread...you name it. I'll be making those bars soon, though I've been experimenting with agave instead of sugar...we shall see. Hey, this is the longest comment I've ever left! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi. I HATE juicing key limes too, but found the Pampered Chef citrus press (I'm thinking this is even easier than pliers!) and I love, love, love it. Now I'm juicing everything I can think of to put in that thing. I'd highly recommend you check it out...it's great! Thanks for the recipe rec. Can't wait to try it! I've gotta get that book!

Love the header, and the key lime bars look wonderful!

you are killing me with the breads and the sweets over here! I'm trying to find my inner french girl (French Women Don't Get Fat is under my arm constantly these days) and I can hardly stand to click over here. Stop!

Love the header.
I must get that book!

These look YUMMY!!! I noticed key limes in my local market the other day.

Oh yum, these look delish!

I hope you don't mind, I added you to my favorite blog links.

and yeah..i love key limes. the squeezing is worth it once in a while, no? i have a good key lime pie recipe i must dig out and make but i have a lemon cake here that my mom made so i better eat that and then i should really continue unpacking (new house) rather then bake. i want to sew and make and bake so much it makes me crazy.

YUM!
I love key lime pies!
They are my faves! I also love your blog! It is very cute! I also have a blog and an ETSY shop.

Oh, Slings and Arrows is fantastic. Enjoy it!

An alternative to juicing key limes is to use Nellie & Joe's Key Lime juice. The recipe on the bottle makes a seriously good filling. I'm just saying...

hi amy. love you blog, ive been readin forever but never commented. i just wanted to let you know that williams-sonoma sells key lime juice in a bottle. totally the real thing. i used to be a manager there and have used it to cook mnay dangerously delicious things. thanks for being such a cool lady!!

I haven't seen Slings and Arrows yet, but Paul Gross is just so easy on the eyes, isn't he? [I almost said "dreamy" but then I realized this isn't 1955, and I'm not a teenager ;-) ] I just recently re-watched all of the episodes of Due South. I loved that show! We caught it in syndication at 1am, in the early days of our marriage. Ah, memories, LOL!

mmmm... they look great ! do you know that you can buy lime juice at trader Joe's, in small green bottles ?
cecile

oh those do look so yummy! but juicing twenty key limes would prevent me from making them often too.
love the new banner!!!

I keep hearing about Slings and Arrows from people who swear that I'll love it. Apparently my friends are under the impression that I really dig obscure Canadian comedy... I'll put it next in my Netflix que.

When I was in Mexico in November, the only thing I really wanted to get as a souvenir was a lime-press. My sister found one for me at a market for a couple of bucks. Now juicing limes is FUN! :D

Those look so delicious!

I love all things citrus! Looks delicious!

I thought my hands were going to fall off when I juiced key limes. I love key lime anything and so I guess I'm going to have to get one of those lime presses.

Thanks for the links.

I just bought a new juicer...now I'm buying that cookie book. seriously.

and i thought i was gonna get the receipe for those keylime bars... i thought hubby would like. oh well....
i cannot wait to get your book plus the book on stretch sewing plus another one...i am such a book junkie. mark freaks everytime another one hits the house. but if i make him some from the book then it is okay :-) any day now

I have that book as well, but have never made anthing from it! I think I have some rare disease where I buy beautiful cookbooks but never make anything out of them! :) I feel so accomplished just leaving the bookstore with them, and that is as far as I get! But i might try those delish looking lemon bars... they might be worth breaking out the apron for!! :) Love your blog!!!

Every. Time. I come here. You make me hungry!!!!!! I'm never going to loose weight as long as I keep visiting your blog!

wow. now my mouth is watering! the lime juice is fresh though. is there anyway you could just buy lime juice?

Costco is carrying the Martha Stewart cookie book right now

Slings and Arrows is so good. Season 2 is even better than the first. I know what you mean about the excitement of finding a whole season of a show to watch. We are half-way through the Tudors and I'm going to be so sad when I get to the end and have to find something else.

I love Key Lime everything and can't wait to try these squares. Yummm.

It blows me away that Slings & Arrows is so unknown here in the US--it's fantastic! Enjoy, enjoy!

I will have to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I love key lime too -good thing I can't bake because my hips don't need these...
sparkle and spin is one of our favorite books over here:)

Paul and Ann Rand have another kids book which is just as adorable. i have ahd them on my Amazon list for ages because they are so hard to track down here in Australia.

Thank-you for making these. I've been debating the recipe as I love my own, but I'm willing the take the risk now!

Looks fantastic, never tried key lime pie - but I think it's about time I did!

Slings and arrows is fantastic ~ I was so bummed when it ended.

I saw the new header and immediately thought of Sparkle and Spin - love it! Looks great.

I am a true fan of key limes and can't wait to try these!

I have just ordered the cookbook via Amazon. You keep producing lovely treats, and I need to try them.

Oooo....my Dad loves Key Lime anything. Might have to make him a big pan of these for Father's day! Thanks!
