my baby is a dirty hippie.

My baby is messy. Messy dirty and gross. You know, in that baby love way. But filthy dirty. I forgot just how messy these crazy things are at 11 months. So, all the disgusting horribly soiled hand-me-down 12 month baby clothes from her sisters were finally laid to rest and some new ones were purchased. I love white—so simple and lovely, but it gets so gross on the baby. She has a big time drool thing too, did I mention that?

So, I dyed a bunch this weekend and added some eye catching (and gross food distracting) embellishments.

The darker dyes got a bit granola one me, but we do live in Oregon. I dyed these all lazy style, so they are mottled, and I love that look, so it's all good. I used some heat n' bond (directions on this post here) for the patches and we are done. Awesome. The lap shirts I got from Dharma Trading, they are Rabbit Skins brand and softer than anything. I love them. (and under $2 each!) That's where the diaper cover pants came from too.
