Here's a shirt I made from the BBW knits book. It's the basic shirt with the boat neck alterations. Notice the loose 3/4 sleeve, which is my favorite detail. So nice. And the neck fits perfect. I used my serger for this and turned the neck hem over once both top-stitching and edge stitching to make it lay flat. See the two black seams there? It's debatable if I should have made a facing instead. It sort of stays flat, but by the end of the day, it gets bit flippy. This jersey has modal in it, so it's a bit slinky— more Rock n' Roll High School than the classic French top I was going for. That's cool, it is a light pink and black stripe after all, which to be honest, I didn't notice when I bought it online.
The unnatural pose here is killing me. You are supposed to notice the sleeves, and the boat neck—with the coffee mug artistically obscuring the Empty Baby House. Why I am trying to obscure anything with a horizontal striped shirt on is beyond me.
Okay, it's been a RAD day. My e-mail is broken. I can receive e-mail, but not send any, and of course I have had a ton of immediate issues that need to be attended to via e-mail. It's raining here again, and not even 60°. Seriously, I had to turn the heat on. There are a bunch of other things I want to complain about which require more typing than I can do right now and are petty and silly anyway (when did I get so much grey hair?) Come on, man! I need a Friday! It's probably a good thing I can't send out any e-mail right now, to be honest.
I booked a massage on Saturday, so that's good. And I really dig this shirt, so that's good too.
