This was made a bit back to celebrate the first day of spring. Colored sugar is very popular wit the girls and they decorated this chocolate cake (recipe here) with cream cheese frosting (which I never use a recipe for—I just beat a little butter with cream cheese and add powdered sugar and then a little milk until it seems the right texture.)
The remaining frosting went in between graham crackers and into the freezer. I used to make these all the time when I was little and totally forgot about them. They are so good cold with a strong cup of coffee. Outstanding. These are not homemade graham crackers, but I really want to try making some using this recipe.
