We made it through a lovely holiday whirlwind. I baked more (the pink pinwheel cookies were a huge hit and must be made again for valentine's day.)
The pigs in blankets made by miss emily were scrumptious. That photo kills me, not just because of her stellar outfit but also how funny these look on the plate.
There was not much snow, but some ice to play with.
The girls did a little cookie decorating.
We adults saw some movies (in the theater!) and I read. I tried to sit down and was mildly successful. I got a migraine, but oddly, the timing was okay and it made me take a rest. Oh, and I accidentally erased last year's worth of photos from iphoto. That would be 16,000. Yep. That's what happens when you empty the trash in iphoto, even after you get the warning. So, that I think was the migraine instigator. I have tried some recovery software with no luck, so now I am just looking on my computer for whatever I had pulled out of iphoto and am trying not to think about it too much. We are still cleaning up the house. And I'm only eating fruit now when I want sugar, 'cause dang, I can really tell I've had too much these two weeks. I have a gazillion things to mention soonish—new sewing books, movies, upcoming sewing projects, cooking adventures.
I sure hope everyone had a relaxing and fun holiday and happy 2011! The 3 girls did make it to midnight on New Year's Eve, we were both alarmed and impressed.
