I have a stack of new flat sheets because they never get used on our kids' beds. They get tangled up around the girls, and so I just use a fitted sheet and duvet for them and keep the flat sheet for forts, tents and, if they are super soft combed cotton, making into clothes.
The fist photo is mine, then Delia's, and then Sadie's. Liddy's is still in good shape. I made these a little differently than the ones from last year. The shoulder seams kept getting blown out and were not mending well, so I just left the sleeves off and I think it was a smart move. These get pretty thrashed so the fewer seams, the better.
We have been watching The House of Elliot and I am in love with all the sweater jackets I am seeing in that first season. I had forgotten much of the series — I watched it in college when if first came out and only remember the last half, so it's really wonderful to see it from the beginning again. And the clothes are so lovely. That 1920s look mixed with some ethnic/folk elements makes me sit up on the edge of the couch and grab a sketch book. So beautiful.

This video of Sesame Street Characters doing the Beastie Boys Sure Shot has made my day.
