On one of the really hot days last week we went back to the berry farm to get even more raspberries and blueberries which have gone crazy this year. It's been such a great year for berries here in Oregon. Gammie came with us and she is doing so much better, it's such a relief. She is in remission for her breast cancer now—she finished her last radiation treatment about 7 weeks ago. She is doing so well and I am so grateful that I am so close to her, emotionally and physically. This would have been unbearable to go through long distance.
She has been a busy bee, she already made jam from her raspberries berries and has also finished 3 machine quilting jobs in the last month. It's making her so happy to work and quilt again. If you need a top machine quilted, she is back up and running, you can find her over at Tillie Studio. Go Grammie!
She wants me to mention that this is a wig (there have been quite a few wig jokes and one wig singeing incident with the oven) and she is greatly inspired by Judi Dentch's pixie cut, which she plans to rock when more of her hair comes back.
