We got through Halloween and another birthday (my middle child is now 9!) and now I feel like a can take a break and chill out a bit until Thanksgiving. I am feeling all autumnal—lots of tea, apple cider, gingerbread, raking leaves, and knitting around here. I keep laughing every time I walk by this customized metal sign we received from Personal Creations. They were kind enough to offer me something complementary from their catalog and I when I found the Rustic SIgns page, I knew what I had to choose. It's making us all very happy and is now a neighborhood favorite.
in other news:
- I am loving this Wes Anderson horror movie spoof that I know made the rounds a bit back, but is new to me (thank you so much Emily!)
- I just finished reading Tuck Everlasting to the girls and they loved it. I had never read it before and it was a good book to read out loud with plenty to talk about. I have not seen the movie but now I am curious. Pete is reading all the Harry Potters out loud in the evenings, we started back in June on a road trip, and are now on the 6th book. This was a nice break from that world.
- I clicked right over to Heidi Kenney and Amanda Kruger's new project A Very Merry Advent and was agog and thrilled discovering what my $12 got me! The content in the jammed-packed-craft-filled-fun-making-advent PDF thingy they have put together is just crazy-wonderful. The downloads! My girls are freaking out. We might be starting this before December 1st.
