We made these spooky bottles using this great tutorial. I was both horrified and grateful I had so many bottles of expired and forgotten about vitamins. What the heck? I don't know why I never throw these out, but good for me, because I had them for this project. I feel like there is a KonMari joke in here, but I can't quite get pull it out. We ended up making some mushroom cap shaped lids out of air dry clay. The small bottles got cork shaped caps. And because the air dry clay came out, a mini taco and hamburger were made, because you know, that's what happens.
The supplies are so simple for this— plastic vitamin bottles decorated with a glue gun, chalk paint, silver paint, and some moss. I really want to try the technique with a book cover to make spell books. We dabbed on the silver paint with a paper towel and it looked perfectly aged and distressed.
Thanks for all you support and ideas about my meal planning! It's been really good this week. I keep having to remember that I have it figured out when I start thinking about what to make for dinner. Oh, brain. I will keep linking to our favorites as they come up.
