Every year we go to a pretty raging Halloween party. There's no kids and a lot of dear friends we've known from way back. There are photos displayed of all of us in costumes from about 1992-present. There were many years where this party was on hiatus, with the babies and all, but it's been back in full force for a few years now and it's so much fun. I borrowed my middle daughter's surprisingly comfortable banana costume, which I had a hard time taking off. I actually want to wear it around the house occasionally, because it's just really funny and almost sad. Pete went as Freud. We went as a couple, you know, Freud and a banana. Enough said.
There was this amazing story in The Oregonian about a masked superhero in Beaverton that makes the rounds at night, walking the streets, in a homemade costume. I kind of want to just stop by and say hi. As a banana. Pretty much every word of this story is outstanding, I read it aloud to the family.
I was asked if I am going to do my yearly super cool gift round up this year and—yes! I have done this for many years and its so fun to think about and look though all my past lists. I will try to get it up either right before or right after Thanksgiving
