I made this mini plant shelf for my mini plants. This is made from popsicle sticks and white tacky glue. I have a very mixed relationship with glue guns and try to avoid them if I can. The glue bugs me and also creates a thickness which makes it really annoying for model making. I usually use Elieens tacky glue, which dries much fast than Elmers.
There is so much going on around here right now. Fall is coming and for the first year ever, I have a child going to school. My middle one is going a performing arts school for dance. It's 6-12th grade and she is entering 6th. So, that has been a huge adjustment for all of us and will be a moving target when she starts next week. My eldest and youngest are still homeschooled. This big change has been on the horizon for about a year. She auditioned and got in right after Christmas. There was much research, talking, and adjusting to the idea. I'm so proud of her, and of all of us. I won't lie about how I felt I had been punched in the stomach when we first talked about it, but as time when on and I just listened and watched, my stomach started to settle.
I have so much to say about all this and homeschooling, unschooling, curriculum vs not, study groups—all that, but it would take forever to write and really, it's all just about doing what is right for us, our family, and each particular child. And all this changes. The only thing I am dogmatic about it not having a dogma. I'm learning a ton, trying to always keep an open mind, and wouldn't change a thing.
