The two younger girls were a bit bored yesterday and so they found this DIY over on Sea Lemon, went outside and got some rocks, and asked to go to the craft store to get some pots. My only involvement was driving to the craft store. I don't remember what I was doing during all this, but it's pretty great they are old enough to be self-sufficient at crafting and choosing projects. I can't believe how adorable these turned out. They were really inexpensive to make, which isn't always the case with DIYs.
The holidays have been good the last two weeks, but also hard. I hurt my head (I fell) and and foot (on the same fall) and it's taken a bit longer to get back to normal than I thought it would. I figured I'd be fine in a day or two because that's what my schedule would allow. You know how it is. I hear this term self-care and I don't think I really even know what that means on a basic level. I'm not very good at identifying what I even need at a given moment. I know when I am hungry and tired. This is good. But I am a far cry from when I was in my 20s and just did what I wanted to do. I scarcely remember that time. This might be something to look at more closely and work on for 2017.
