what is this about?

make aprons to show and tell! every few months there is a different theme. you make the apron, e-mail me the photo (a jpeg) with your info (like a blog link), and then I will add it to the gallery at the end of the month. sound fun? yup!: please submit newly created aprons. not purchased or existing vintage ones.

book giveaway for the Black and White Apron theme—

I have been having a lot of fun giving away books to you apron makers who join in on the Tie One On fun. This time we have not a sewing book, but an excellent knitting book—Mason-Dixon Knitting: The Curious Knitter's Guide: Stories, Patterns, Advice, Opinions, Questions, Answers, Jokes, and Pictures by two of my favorite people, Kay and Ann from Mason Dixon Knitting. This is their first book, which has just been released in paperback. If you are a knitter (or even if you aren't) you need this book. It's that good and that funny.
