This is my first vintage Enid Collins bag. It wasn't pretty the last few weeks on ebay, but I finally got one and I am so thrilled to see the paint in person. I love making the box bags inspired by these but I couldn't figure out the paint, like how flat it was, or if it was silk-screened (this one is.) And now I feel like I have all the answers. . .not that I can make this, but you know what I mean. I don't think this will be my last Enid bag. I have been infected for sure. .
Some random things. This amazing site here, via Pete from work. Um, how funny and random is this? A site where you upload a photo and it tells you what celebrity you look like? I love it. I didn't recognize the woman I look like (I think she is a bollywood star) and Pete's was not know to us either, which is making me suspicious-but it is fun. . .
Also, food gets talked about a lot at Pete's office, which I approve of wholeheartedly, and also find very amusing. A rumor went around a few weeks ago that a Chipotle chicken burrito has 1200 calories. Um, huh? Now I'm not normally one to look at calories (but I have been recently, actually, so I take that back) but really? Okay, Chiptole is owned by McDonald's, but still, how can this be true? The website, which is ridiculously slick did confirm (after an unreasonable amount of digging around and then more arithmetic than I like to do) that YES it REALLY is 1200 calories-if you get it with the normal goods, not all "diet" style. The tortilla alone is 600 calories. Wow. The site is all ''fresh-healthy food" holy smokes, man. So, if you are gonna brave it- get it in a bowl, I say, and skip the rice.
And thank you all for the insanely good zucchini recipes!! These are amazing and I will put them to good use and report back. So glad it's almost Friday, I just made berry cobbler and plan to eat it all day tomorrow (surely less calories than a flippin' burrito!) the biscuits came out flat as a pancake (?) but it still tastes good.
