A wonderful Thanksgiving was had by all. Things are slow around here, which is lovely. I need to report that the 1/2 cup or so of frozen raspberries that I added to the apple pie was inspired. I don't know if it was because I hadn't had pie in so long or what, but I swear it was like heaven in my mouth. Really. The tart berries were just perfect with the sweet apples. I may never have straight-up apple pie again. This is the best use raspberries in pies, I am convinced of it.
Okay back to the leftovers. I'm going to make some shepard's pies with the extra mashed potatoes and freeze them. That's the plan anyway.
