I have been splitting more recipes in half lately. Or doubling them and making two different versions. Especially baked goods. The house seems pretty split on flavors and preferences and the happy medium (meaning I'm happy) is when we have more than one kind. Like this coffee cake—the one on the left is the plain sour cream version and the one on the right has 1 cup of marmalade swirled in.
Now we are happy and no one resents making plain-jane food and then having no one eat it anyway. I doubled this recipe here.

-I love these crazy cute knickers (mini-bloomers) over at the Collette Patterns blog. Did you see these? So sassy and cute I am dying. And the sewing pattern is a free PDF! Thank you so much, Sarai!
-We have the Fantastic Mr. Fox soundtrack on heavy rotation in the house right now and I can't say enough good things about it.
