We had a lovely weekend with some Spring Equinox festivities. We tried to emphasize nature, the weather and changing seasons, plants, new growth, and all that good hippie stuff and not give gifts—but then I sabotaged it because I have a huge box of rad things I squirrel away all year and dole out. I can't help it. They love art supplies more than anything. tThey also got new spring dresses, sewn by me, which I will show soon.
So, they got these pencils I had been saving and little books to draw in. Genius!! I know I tend to be quite dramatic when talking of Sarah of The Small Object (Aunt Sarah as she is known around here) but come on!
Totally unrelated:
I was out to dinner with my crew (I refer to as The Ladies) and we were at Koi Fusion (the new Korean taco place. I sure liked my tofu Korean Tacos!) and they casually mentioned Land's End has a line, Canvas, that is like old school J.crew before they got all fashion-y. And it's so good! I guess this line has been out for a bit and I was under a rock. I love classic preppy so much and there are some wonderful basics here. I know my coolness factor just went down 70% linking to Land's End, but I am finally old enough now not to care. Ha! Good clothes is good clothes, man!
