We covered and collaged on top of white hardback blank books for an b-day party craft project. It was perfect for the 7-9 year-olds and appealed to their fairy/dreamy/glittery taste. And mine. These 12 x 12 papers and stickers were part of a set sold at Michael's and it was on supersale, so a ton of sheets, stickers and an album (which I haven't used) were all had for under $8. The blank books I already had squirreled away. This particular pack I don't see anymore, but it was in a set similar to these. I am so happy I snatched it up when I saw it. I had no clue what I was going to do with all the papers/stickers when I bought it 6 months ago and now we have covered about 8 books and 10 small gift boxes with the sheets and still have some left.
I have another b-day party this week (for the almost 7 year-old) and need to figure out a craft project. Like right now. And it needs to come from supplies in my art room, because I just have too much stuff to not use it up. I need some coffee to think about this, I am still a bit sugar high from last night. Perhaps I should have more candy with my coffee.
Unrelated, I have some sewing projects finished (the dress for the Black and White Gala!) and some to start— but now I am distracted by sewing something like this nightshirt for Husband for the holidays. I find it particularly attractive. He is dubious, but game. It's amazing what a guy will wear if they know you think it's hot.
