So, I don't post many cat photos but I felt these needed to be shared. This is Muffin, one of the 3 young cats we have. They are all sisters and look almost identical, which is pretty funny. Muffin likes to get into small things, she steals wool socks and knitting, sleeps in the bathroom sink (only if it's wet) and doesn't mind being wrapped in tissue and tape.

- Sarai Mitnick of Colette Patterns is having a little shindig this Thursday night and a booksigning and fabric swap this Sunday at Powells to launch her new book, The Colette Sewing Handbook: Inspired Styles and Classic Techniques for the New Seamstress. Excitement! In a fit of enthusiasm I have sewn a dress from her wonderful book to wear to the the party Thursday. It's 92% done as I type this.
- Over at the Tillie Studio blog, I was touched to see this machine quilting job Grammie did a bit back—it was for a thoughtful group quilt which incorporated words in both the piecing and the machine quilting and it made it so special. She describes the process in a lovely way. What a cool idea.
