This week is crazy! I was able to bake a few cookies over the last few weeks, but nothing like what I usually do. Friends and family used to getting cookies from me will be getting perfume oils instead. I have been making hand-blended organic perfume oil for a bit now and I have some really nice scents to give out. So far, they have been very well received—along with some oils that help with headaches, you roll it on at the base of your neck.
Over the weekend I made marshmallows and dipped them in chocolate and then either peppermint pieces or walnuts with cinnamon and sugar. I didn't make these last year and I missed them.
I'm itching to make the almond cake we make for Winter Solstice every year and then I'm gonna wrap like a mad woman. I had to take my serger in. It broke yesterday, 3 hours before I was supposed to have 3 Nutcracker dresses done (we are in the middle of 10 shows, the girls have 6 left to do) so I have lost my sewing privileges for 10 days while it's being repaired and I think this is a good thing. I was horrified at first, but if the only way to slow me down is to take my machine away, so be it.
