So, after the booties, I knitted this neck scarf. This pattern was in a Martha Stewart years ago and I was directed to it from a fellow (famous) knitter, the one known as Kay, not only because it's a cool little project but also because I had been talking to her about knitting this shawl. It's pretty dang similar to the shawl/wrap, only a lot smaller. All the info for this neck scarf project is here, including the free pattern.

And a different way to wear it—how jaunty!
I do love this and have worn it quite a bit. It's nice to tuck in my purse for when I need something for a cold neck and don't want to pack around a long scarf. I used more of the unfinished sweater yarn. That's the unfinished project that keeps on giving.
I am madly knitting, sewing, and making perfumes for gifts. Some early holiday gifts I have bought that are squeal worthy:
- This mini letter set. I already gave it to Grammie. It's for making little fairy letters and packages for the girls. It's called The World's Smallest Post Office and it's so cute we are dying.
- I just bought this book, Miette: Recipes from San Francisco's Most Charming Pastry Shop for myself. So beautiful! I haven't baked from it yet, but am just marveling at the scalloped pages. And all the cake recipes are for 6" pans, which I think is so wonderful. There are a lot of reviews (and an errata page you can print out) at this link.
