I casted on again and made this last week. It's so cold here I have already worn it a lot. I'm on the fence about blocking this type of thing. A wet block is what I am questioning. Maybe a light misting would be better? On big needles and with super soft yarn this grew quite a bit and I liked it better before it grew, but I am still quite happy with it. The details, there aren't many, are here.
I have a shawl on the needles now. It's all stash busting around here, and I mean it. Same with my needlework. No new purchases for a bit. I think I am in a process phase right now, not really too concerned with what I make as long as I am making, so working from my stash is easy. If it's not exactly what I would make for myself, it can become a gift.
Years ago a started a handmade gift stash, where I just make stuff, anything I wanted (this could be 1 scarf or 15 pin cushions) and then just kept it safe it a big plastic box with a tight lid. During the year I pull from it for gifts. I love it. I have hats, baby booties, pincushions, little charms, handmade books—all that. It's so freeing because then I don't have that "why am I making this?" feeling when I start something new. I know many of these items I could put in my Etsy shop, and I do sometimes, but often I just like giving them to friends that would appreciate them.
I have been making bubble milk tea at home, with instant bobba. More on this soon. I also am on a 16/8 eating plan and so far so good. My body has changed a whole lot after 40 (hello jowls in this photo!) and this has made my gut feel so much better. I'm on day 10 I think? I will report back. I don't expect it to help my jowls.
