We found ourselves in a magical candy shop before seeing a movie at Cinetopia at Progress Ridge Townsquare. The girls knew about this spot, they had gone with friends, but Pete and I had no clue there was a little village in this suburban area, with shops, restaurants, fountains, and pond. So lovely! It was one of those perfect summer evenings at dusk when it wasn't too hot and everyone was out having fun. The retro candy shop, Rocket Fizz, was pretty great, with all the candies and sodas I had forgotten about. Including two types of candies fart-related. Which were different than the candies toilet-related.
Today Lydia and I are going to the Portland Art Museum to see The Shape of Speed car show before it closes. Half of our family have already seen it and said it was amazing.
We are almost done with The Good Place, which has been the perfect evening entertainment to help us relax. It's hard for anyone to sit in one spot for more than 30 minutes, except the dogs. Actually, it's Pete and I who can't sit. It's a problem that we are trying to work on.
