Pre-heat your ovens!
(This wonderful photo is from Chelle) Thank you all so much for these great apron shots and favorite recipes. I think I may try one of the fudge recipes tonight. Sweet and savory, it's all here, and I love knowing where the recipes came from and a bit about the aprons. I hope you all enjoy these and please let everyone one know if you try these out. You can comment here or in the gallery. Okay, the new apron theme will be announced January 1st, I hope everyone has a wonderful and yummy holiday season!
And aprons in the media: I saw in the new Martha that she is giving task specific aprons to her friends, like a gardening apron, etc. Very clever. Worth checking out, it's in the very front of the magazine, December 2007.
And this new apron book is out and might be a great gift for an apron lover in you life (or yourself?)
I got an advance copy of The Apron Book a bit back and it is so sweet and lovely. Really nice apron stories and history and some hand drawn apron patterns for you to make. (You have to make your own patterns from the diagrams, it doesn't actually come with tissue patterns)**correction, there IS a basic tissue pattern so nicely pasted in the back, all tidy and flat, that I somehow missed it, my bad! This is all by the same EllynAnne Geisel who put together the show Apron Chronicles: A Patchwork of American Recollections, which was on tour two summers ago and I think now is in a permanent collection in Dallas.
