Here's the new theme—make an apron spending no $$! (thank you meghan for the great suggestion, please e-mail me so I can send you a vintage apron!)
The idea here is use from your existing stash. So that means absolutely no buying of any kind for materials, supplies, or fabric. If you have a big fabric stash, this will be easy, however you can get creative to make it a bit more challenging or if nothing in your stash speaks to you. Try bed sheets, men's shirts, old clothes, dishtowels—so many items can be turned into aprons.
I had a similar theme a bit back (Apron from old clothes) but for this theme, you can use raw fabric, just as long as you spend no $$. There are some super swell ideas in this link though, so please check it out.
I hope a ton of people jump on board with this new theme. Frugality + creative expression = happiness indeed, right? I sure think so.
These jpegs need to be sent to me by April 30th (you get 2 months for this one) and the gallery will be up early May.
I also updated this site here—new banner, updated book list, and an updated apron sellers list. If you got bumped off, please no worries, it's either because the link was broken or the shop had no aprons when I looked. I will gladly add anyone again, just send me an e-mail.
Thanks and have fun! And thanks for sending me apron related book info, links, articles, and updates—I love it when I get apron tips from you all.
