We have had a rough week and are now all sick, except husband. Grammie, our savior, has been helping ailing great-grandpa pretty much 24/7 for the last 2 weeks—so we are all in need of words of encouragement. I was going to make her some "keep calm and carry on" cards, (ones like the British repros that seemed to be everywhere this last year) but when I sat down to make them, I felt compelled to design some custom ones as well. I love the crown I found—not quite the same, but still good, anyway. I was at black apple's the other night and spied a custom one she had, which was quite cheeky and funny—but then I sort of forgot about it until I made these a mere 2 nights later. And here I was thinking I was so clever.
And jeez, people sure get grumpy when something gets popular! I googled "keep calm and carry on" and found this post with highly emotional comments about the omniprescence of this poster. Ha—it's almost as bad as when your favorite band gets popular. Tragedy! Anyhoo, I still don't have it and want it— even if it was in O magazine as one commenter pointed out.
Grammie and I went and saw Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona last night and that was a wonderful escape. We loved it.
